About Sarcura

Sarcura is a start-up developing a novel industrial manufacturing platform for personalized cell therapies, such as CAR-T. We develop instruments at the interface of deep tech and life science, using state of the art silicon technologies embedded in microfluidic systems to control biological processes.

We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, and open-minded Senior Electronics Engineer (m/f/x) joining our team to contribute to the development of novel manufacturing devices for personalized cell therapies used to fight and treat cancer. The position would encompass leading the conceptual design and integration of electro-mechanical and electro-optical systems into cell therapy manufacturing devices.

Your responsibilities include

  • Manage electronic developments in an interdisciplinary team
  • Design, develop, and test analog and digital electronic circuits
  • Perform hands-on lab work and troubleshooting
  • Circuit design for low latency signal acquisition, signal multiplexing, and digitalization from optical detectors
  • Efficiently communicate and discuss results with a diverse, international audience (team members, development partners, suppliers, and potential customers)
  • Interact closely with collaborators and stakeholders (including global travel)

Your skills, knowledge, and experiences

To perform your tasks, you should have the following skills, knowledge, and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Able to specify and select the right components for the problem at hand
  • Analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and design with focus on manufacturability
  • Carry out independent research and feasibility studies for a given topic or project
  • Demonstrate creative and critical thinking and have solid troubleshooting skills
  • Be organized and able to set your own priorities for a project
  • Very good documentation and communication skills in English

As the icing on the cake, you might have some experience in one of the following areas

  • Software: Altium Designer or KiCAD, SPICE
  • Embedded programming and scripting languages (C/C++, Python, Matlab)
  • Optical and opto-mechanical development experience

The salary for this full-time employment starts from € 50,000 annual gross, depending on your experience and qualification. The place of work is at IST Park, Plöcking 2, 3400 Klosterneuburg.
